Mia couldn’t sleep. The waves outside seemed to whisper her name, so she tiptoed down to the moonlit beach in her star pyjamas. There, blinking up at her with big amber eyes, sat a small green turtle.

“I’m Sheldon,” he said. “The sea is wide awake tonight — shall we go and see?”

Mia climbed onto Sheldon’s smooth, cool shell, and with a gentle splash they slipped into the silver water. The sea was as warm as a bath. All around them, little waves giggled and rolled, carrying them softly away from the shore.
