Data deletion

TurtleTimelets you delete much of your content yourself, and you can ask us to delete your whole account and personal data by email. This page explains how. It satisfies Meta's requirement that apps accessing user data provide a clear way for people to request deletion.

While signed in to TurtleTime, you can:

• Delete characters and the photos attached to them
• Delete stories you have created
• Edit your profile and delivery address
• Turn off marketing emails in settings, or use the unsubscribe link in any such email
• Cancel a subscription through the billing portal in your account

Email hello@turtletime.ai from the email address on your TurtleTime account, with the subject line Data deletion request.

Please include:

• The email address of your TurtleTime account
• Your full name (if you have set one)
• A short note that you want your account and personal data deleted

We use the sending address to verify it is you. If we need anything else to confirm the request, we will reply and ask.

Removing TurtleTime from Facebook or Google under their app settings stops future sign-in with that provider. It does not by itself delete the stories, photos or account data held in TurtleTime. Please still email hello@turtletime.ai for a full deletion, as above.

When we process a deletion request we remove from our live systems:

• Your account profile and login
• Characters, photos and stories
• Saved delivery addresses
• Marketing preferences tied to your account

We complete deletion within 30 days of verifying your request. Some records (for example invoices and payment history) may be kept longer where tax or accounting law requires it. Backups roll off on their normal schedule after the live data is gone.
